What is Emergent Coaching?
The Emergent Coach Training® integrates International Coaching Federation (ICF) coaching competencies with cutting-edge cognitive science, systems thinking, Focusing, mindfulness, somatics, multiplicity, depth psychology and human development theory into a powerfully innovative, whole-person coaching methodology. The ICF is the premier global body for coach program accreditation and for credentialing professional coaches.
As you'll see in the short video above with the program's founder and creator Rod Francis, it teaches a powerful methodology for interacting with the more than 95% of cognition and intelligence that mostly gets left untouched (certainly with most conventional coaching methods), but is nonetheless driving or impeding truly effective decision-making and lasting behavioral change.
Participants learn a unique science-driven approach for rapidly shifting the inner blocks to success, catalyzing insight and for supporting deep, effortless, sustainable change in your clients. The program consists of several modules, which of these you take will depend upon your choice of certification track: Level 1 ACC, Level 2 PCC or PCC Core.
Essentials
This is a 5-week intensive live learning module which teaches all the fundamentals of great professional coaching and both of our Level 1 ACC and Level 2 PCC tracks begin with this. While you will need more training to become a truly powerful and effective coach, you will gain a great deal from just these 5 weeks.
Pathways
Here we explore several science-backed developmental methods for supporting client insight and embodied change including coaching narrative and story, implementing intuition in coaching, working creatively with the body and how to coach with client multiplicity by engaging Parts and Selves—an astonishingly effective skillset.
Focusing
This module teaches the extraordinary change process developed by the late Prof. Eugene Gendlin known as Focusing, and how to skillfully integrate it into a professional coaching session. Gendlin won multiple accolades from the world's leading psychological bodies for his astonishing contributions to science.
Empowerment
This is mostly comprised of our 5-day live (4-day virtual) training retreat where we explore coaching, change and developmental growth through the lens of natural world interactions. It's another intensive opportunity which radically enhances participants growth both individually and as coaches.
Fulfilment
Fulfilment is the certification module containing important learning content designed to support you through certification journey with us and also onwards for your application and credentialing journey with the ICF following your successful certification with us. Both ACC and PCC tracks each have versions specifically tailored for them.
Mindfulness
All our program tracks incorporate a live 8-week mindfulness training and the PCC track also offers an additional 6-week advanced program to support your development and your coaching Presence plus gives you a powerful resource to offer your own clients. If you can't make these live then they're all recorded to listen in after.
All participants receive a supplementary program called Resources which contains a vast range of incredible additional material, expert faculty running coaching demonstration sessions, helpful session documents and way more as well! Access to all the content is yours beyond completion of your program. To learn more please download the curriculum guide , join a Learning Lab call or use the contact page.
